Supported by the <strong>International Olympic Committee (IOC)<\/strong> e <strong>United Nations Climate Change (UNFCCC)<\/strong>, the summit serves as a platform to discuss how sports can drive sustainability and combat climate change. Participants shared insights, best practices, and innovative strategies for integrating sustainability into sports organizations and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this landmark event, the <strong>Jadir Taekwondo Association (AJTKD)<\/strong> was honored with the <strong>Community Initiative Award<\/strong> at the inaugural <strong>Sport Positive Awards<\/strong>. Their project, <strong>&#8216;Kicking for Nature,&#8217;<\/strong> received recognition for its innovative approach to combining taekwondo with environmental education, benefiting underserved communities in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216;Kicking for Nature&#8217; focuses on engaging young participants in martial arts while simultaneously educating them about sustainability and environmental stewardship. The project has empowered numerous youth, fostering a sense of responsibility toward their communities and the environment. Many former participants have returned as volunteers, demonstrating the initiative&#8217;s long-lasting impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon receiving the award, <strong>Grandmaster Jadir Figueira<\/strong> remarked, <em>&#8220;It is with great joy that we receive the Sport Positive Award in the Community Initiative category.
